False Positives from Anti Virus Software
Usually right after a new release, some anti-virus scanners claim to detect virus or malware signatures in the Gpg4win installers.
If your antivirus software claims that Gpg4win contains a malware signature you should:
- Verify the integrity of the downloaded file (to ensure that it was not manipulated on transfer).
 - Notify the publisher of your antivirus software that you think this might be a false positive.

Additionally VirusTotal can help to get an overview about the results from other scanners. Usually there is a handful of (often times different) signatures while the overwhelming majority does not find anything. If your scanner is one of the outliers this is a good indicator that it is indeed a false positive.
