GpgOL test versions
Contents
+++ Important: The versions linked here are unstable and may cause data loss. There are no guarantees! +++
- Download:
If you want to help us creating a good and stable GpgOL version please test the latest development version available under http://files.gpg4win.org/Beta/gpgol/
- Install:
To install it just replace the gpgol.dll in your Gpg4win installation directory with the one from that beta download page. (The gpgol.dll file is signed by the Intevation File Distribution key.)
- Report:
Report any issues or give feedback to Gpg4win-Devel mailing list, https://bugs.gnupg.org (use category "gpgol") or directly to our GpgOL developer Andre Heinecke. Be sure to include the debug output as described in Gpg4win Compendium, section 23.2 ("Activating GpgOL log files").
Known issues (1.3.0-beta84)
- There is no settings dialog.
- A MIME mail will be decrypted / verified as soon as it is encountered (even at startup).
- The Signature status is not shown anywhere apart from the Decrypt / Verify dialog.
- The Messagelist icons have some pixel errors and are a bit on the Ugly side.
- New strings are not yet localized.
- Attachments with non ASCII characters in their name are shown as gpol<nr>.dat
- Sending MIME Messages is disabled.
Known issues (1.3.0-beta107) (DRAFT)
- Both KMail and Thunderbird-Enigmail cannot verify an encrypted and signed E-Mail from Outlook using PGP/Mime³
- Both KMail and Thunderbird cannot handle S/Mime signed or S/Mime encrypted E-Mails from GpgOL
- They can "read" them but not verify or encrypt them.
Minor bugs:
- When verifying a not signed nor encrypted E-Mail Kleopatra returns "decryption failed, no data" (expected: "nothing to verify or similar")
- When verifying a (just) decrypted but not signed E-Mail, Kleopatra returns "decryption successful" (expected: "no data, nothing to verify or similar")
Test matrix for 1.3.0-beta107 (2015-11-13) (DRAFT)
Currently, tests can only be performed for the 32bit version of Microsoft Outlook. See GpgOL test plan for further details about the testing process.
